Connecting generations through emotional intelligence
Purpose and objectives of the project
Bridging Generations aims to tackle age-related discrimination by encouraging intergenerational (re)bonding. The project empowers both youth and seniors through inclusive education and innovative tools, fostering empathy, collaboration, and emotional wellbeing.
Importance of bridging generations
Our research shows both age groups suffer from ageism and "youngism." Modern life often separates generations, diminishing opportunities for shared experiences. Bridging these divides strengthens communities and individual mental health.

Brief introduction to the project
Welcome to Bridging Generations Through Emotional Intelligence – a dynamic and inclusive Erasmus+ project designed to connect youth and older adults across Europe. This initiative brings together communities from Poland, Spain, Romania, Slovenia, and Greece to address the growing issue of age-based discrimination and foster strong intergenerational bonds.
Our mission is to challenge ageism and youngism through innovative, evidence-based approaches rooted in emotional intelligence and non-formal learning. By empowering both young and older individuals to better understand one another, we aim to promote emotional wellbeing, social inclusion, and active community engagement.

Why It Matters
Age divides have become more visible in recent years due to changing family structures, digital transformation, and social stereotypes. This project tackles those divides by encouraging collaborative learning and communication between generations. Together, we can build resilient communities where everyone has a voice, regardless of age.
